The Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise is excited to support Project Amigo in Colima, Mexico, through having a big party! Join us as we bring Mexican traditions and some spooky revelry to the Hellenic Centre in Vancouver.

The Day of the Dead party / fiesta will have a fantastic Mexican buffet and a mariachi band. This will be followed by dancing to memorable tunes, a 50/50 draw, a live auction, and a silent auction. All funds raised will benefit Project Amigo, which you can learn more about at this website:

The Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise has chosen to work with Project Amigo as our international project in 2017 /2018. With your support, we can send avid students to university and assist young people through high school, to graduation, where their circumstances would not otherwise allow.

One of our Live Auction Items will be announced shortly and include a Work Week.

A Work Week at Project Amigo is a Mexican experience like no other. Each Work Week is designed to give you a balanced perspective. Certainly, our students and their families have a great need (the “Project” half) but they also have a rich culture into which they are keen to welcome you (the “Amigo” half). You will spend your week working and playing in rural villages, in beach-side towns, in migrant work camps, and in the schools and communities where the heart of Project Amigo -- our students -- resides! When you volunteer for a Work Week at Project Amigo, you will make a difference while building friendships that last a lifetime.
