This week we welcomed 15 members, we had no guests this time.
Rotary Moment:
Vicente Asuncion brought us the Rotary Moment today, he put forward the idea that another option to go to the Rotary International convention is to sign up as a volunteer, there is even a website where Rotarians can sign up:
* Hoopathons T-shirts, please let Gary know if you would like to purchase one.
* Hoopathon coming April 28th, time to go full speed ahead and get pledges!
* 2019 Rotary Peace Fellowship. Applications are due to the district by May 31st.
* DG Don Evans reminded us to register for the District Conference. All the details can be found here:
* On May 12th the Rotaractors are having an event  Celebrating 50 years of Rotaractors doing good in the world in partnership with Rotary! Get your tickets here:
Meeting Program: Today our guest speaker was our member Abigail Turner giving us her classification talk. These talks are always very interesting as we get to know our fellow members a lot better.
Some of the many interesting details about her life are:
* She had her first contact with Rotary as a teen when she attended RYLA.
* She was a Rotary ambassadorial scholar in Bristol
* She joined our club in 1994.

Thought of the day:
Charles Dickens — 'No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.'
