James Fox brought us the Rotary moment today, he spoke about how after fleeing conflict in their own countries, a group of young Rotaractors is healing wounds and bringing cultures together in a Ugandan refugee settlement. Last Week's Meeting Program: Our member Ted MacCormac spoke about the very valuable work that the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay in, Hawaii, has done to place rescue tubes on popular beaches. There are over 220 Rescue Tubes surrounding Kauai today. Thanks to the effort on Kauai, there are now Rescue Tubes guarding the beaches of Hawaii and Maui.

Meeting Program: This week our speaker was our member Sheila Anderson. She told us about her recent trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos islands. She brought a vere interesting presentation full of really good pics. 
 
Ecuador is a country straddling the equator on South America’s west coast. Its diverse landscape encompasses Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. In the Andean foothills at an elevation of 2,850m, Quito, the capital, is known for its largely intact Spanish colonial center, with decorated 16th- and 17th-century palaces and religious sites, like the ornate Compañía de Jesús Church.
