We received a newsy update from Armando, one of the students we sponsor through our support for Project Amigo in Suchitla, Colima, Mexico. Here is an excerpt from his letter:
Dear Sponsor Rotary Club Vancouver.
I hope you are well. During this month of January I want to share with you how the first week of vacation went, I decided to help my mother with the housework, I played music to make it more enjoyable, my brothers also collaborated; We swept together and I made sure to make it fun so it would be less boring.
In addition, I collaborated with dad in the installation of a new electric shower, I used special scissors to cut tubes, I joined them with industrial glue and Teflon tape to speed up the process. Learning and helping on that project turned out to be an interesting experience.
When I returned from my vacation I went to get my hair cut to look as presentable as possible.
I hope these details give you an idea of how I've spent my days. I am grateful for the learning opportunities I have been acquiring during this time.
