In keeping with the spirit of Canadian Thanksgiving, October was a month of bounty for our club as we welcomed three new members to our growing Rotary Vancouver Sunrise family: Natalia Cabrera, Miguel Buitrago and Jessica Singh.
Natalia and Miguel officially became members at our October 6th meeting and Jessica formally joined our club on October 13th.
District Governor Lorne Calder and Vancouver Assistant Governor Mary Anne Velayo were present to share in the ceremonies and celebrations. With their inductions, Vancouver Sunrise met its annual goal of a 10% increase in club membership for the current Rotary 2021-22 year.
More importantly, we are delighted to have all three of our talented new colleagues already contributing to our club social, committee and service project activities, including Food on the Corner as pictured below.
And, we look forward to learning more about them at their upcoming classification talks, with Jessica leading the way on November 17th!
