Today we welcomed 11 members and our guest speaker, Linnette Wiebe.

Announcements:

* The Hoopathon was a success, the fundraising targets were achieved. The final numbers will be ready soon. Thank you to Gary and his team!

* Our changeover dinner will be a lunch on June 23rd at the Obregon's. More details to follow via Evite in the next few days.

Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker today was Linnette Wiebe from the Ministry of Children and Family Development - Foster Parents Program.

Foster families in B.C. give needed care, safety and stability to children and teens who are unable to live with their own families. Currently, in B.C. there are 1000’s of kids who need temporary foster families when they can’t live at home. Many of these children and teens have experienced trauma and difficult times.
