Sadly, we learned in April of the loss of a former Strathcona Basketball program youth, Sujad Ali Jalal, who was a victim of local gang wars. Even more tragic, in December 2020, Sujad's brother Adam was killed in another gang shooting in Vancouver. We take heart that their sister continues to be involved in our Strathcona youth programs even as we grieve the loss of two young men from our community. Rest in peace Sujad and Adam.  |
